She is the International Visiting Faculty for the Bachelors’ program in Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. She lectures and mentors students of Spectrum Institute of Science and Technology on all aspects of biotechnology with particular reference to health care delivery. She plays a pivotal role in creating opportunities for the students of Spectrum to train and be involved in cutting edge medical research in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Current appointments: Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Leeds Vascular Institute of Leeds General Infirmary, United Kingdom (1995-present); Clinical Sub-Dean for Leeds University Medical School (2003-present); Professor of Translational Vascular Medicine (1998-present), Bradford University; Visiting Professor, Cranfield Health, Cranfield University (visiting faculty for the MSc in Nanomedicine)
Professor Homer-Vanniasinkam holds office in a number of national and international committees and organizations. She is on the Council of the Vascular Society of Great Britain & Ireland and was the founding Chair of its Research Committee in 2009. She currently holds a number of Visiting Professorships and collaborative appointments in this country and abroad.
